Kyle Sandilands shares outrageous theory about woman whose husband has refused to have sex with her for over two years: ‘It’s a real thing!’

Kyle Sandilands shared an utterly bizarre theory about a female caller trapped in a sexless marriage.

The woman, named Joanne, broke down in tears as she revealed that her husband hasn’t had sex with her in over two years on Thursday’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘I don’t put pressure on him but I’ve definitely tried,’ she told Kyle and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

‘It upsets me a lot. And I honestly thought I was a – sorry, I’m going to cry,’ she sobbed.

‘I think I’m horrible because I actually want sex,’ Joanne added. 

At this point, Kyle, 52, swooped in with an outrageous theory to explain the situation.

‘There’s this thing, that I didn’t realise, called the Madonna-wh*re syndrome,’ he mused.

‘It sounds awful, but it’s a real thing, where a man can idolise his woman, wife, girlfriend so much that he desexualises her,’ he continued.

‘You become better than sex. This isn’t a bulls**t story. It’s a real syndrome. It’s a weird thing but it’s a real thing.’

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson didn’t agree with her co-host, calling the theory ‘bulls**t’

His theory didn’t hold up with the rest of the KIIS FM crew, with newsreader Brooklyn Ross chiming in and saying, ‘That’s bulls**t.’

Jackie burst out laughing and added, ‘That’s what I’m thinking, Brooklyn!’

Joanne shot down the theory too, revealing that she and her husband used to have sex in nightclub toilets during the early days of their romance.

Unable to find a real solution to her problem, Kyle and Jackie eventually suggested that Joanne ‘put on a Sharon Stone flick’ and attempt to seduce her hapless husband. 

‘Let us know how you go my love,’ said Jackie as she ended the call.
