Kyle Sandilands has slammed Richard Wilkins.
The shock jock hit out at the veteran entertainment reporter, 63, calling him a ‘d***head,’ after he claimed Dua Lipa lied to her fans and was on Jimmy Kimmel and not on bed rest, after cancelling some of her Bruno Mars tour dates.
Dua, 22, appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM on Monday when she admitted she was ‘really upset’ over the incident.

‘So you missed a couple of shows in Brisbane but you’re back on stage over the weekend and everything’s good,’ Kyle said.
‘And then d**khead, sorry I mean Richard Wilkins, made that big faux pas on the show. You handled that perfectly I think,’ he added.
Dua said she was recovering from having her wisdom teeth removed when Richard made the mistake.

‘I couldn’t perform, I couldn’t open my mouth. I could barely eat,’ she said.
‘And I was really upset because my fans were really upset and that’s the kind of thing that I think is so dangerous, to say stuff like that. I don’t ever want to let people down unless I really, really have to. It was a health thing that I had to take care of and it came at the worst possible time.’
Last week, Richard claimed that Dua had appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show in LA, despite having cancelled her Australian Bruno Mars concerts, when in fact she was on bed rest after surgery.
Richard had told Today viewers: ‘Now get this, she was supposed to be here in Australia opening up for Bruno Mars on his 24K world tour but Dua Lipa cancelled her appearances last weekend and this one as a result of having to have immediate surgery to have her wisdom teeth removed.’

Dua had been supporting Bruno on his 24 Magic World Tour and had to cancel some shows due to the surgery.

Alongside a photo of herself makeup-free and lying on her bed, she wrote: ‘Lol @RichardWilkins if you were a good journalist you would’ve done proper research instead of talking out of your a*s.’
‘Jimmy Kimmel was shot in Feb in LA and aired yesterday. I’ve been in Australia on bed rest and wouldn’t [have] cancelled by Bruno shows if I didn’t have to,’ she continued.
Richard has since offered his apologies, in a Tweet directed at Dua: ‘Sincere apologies @DUALIPA. Didn’t mean to misinform. Assumed you were live with Jimmy K. your fans and my son have severely castigated me!’
