Kylian Mbappe bagged a 93rd-minute winner in PSG’s 1-0 victory away at Rennes on Friday night – and then celebrated by paying tribute to Thierry Henry.

Mbappe, 23, applied the finishing touch to a swift PSG counter-attack at Roazhon Park, with Lionel Messi teeing him up to convert past Rennes goalkeeper Dogan Alemdar from inside the box.

The France international’s last-gasp strike moved Mauricio Pochettino and co 16 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, while extending their winning run to four matches.

After tucking the ball home, Mbappe wheeled away to recreate one of Henry’s iconic celebrations by leaning on the corner flag.

The Arsenal legend produced a similarly nonchalant move during his stint in America with New York Red Bulls, which quickly went viral on social media back in 2013.

Fans made the most of their photoshop skills to edit the ‘Henrying’ celebration onto famous landmarks and historic events, including the leaning tower of Pisa, Muhammad Ali’s win over Sonny Liston and Diego Maradona’s hand-of-god goal against England.

Mbappe paid tribute to his fellow Frenchman by emulating him after his match-winning strike, sharing a photo of their respective celebrations on Twitter and writing: ‘Big Up Legend…’

Mbappe is enjoying a terrific season under Pochettino, with Friday’s winner against Rennes his 21st goal of the campaign.

The 2018 World Cup winner has netted 132 times in his 158 appearances for PSG, yet he could be set to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.

Real Madrid are understood to be eyeing a free move for Mbappe, who is out of contract in the French capital at the end of June.

However, the player is not prepared to decide his future until PSG’s Champions League last-16 clash with Madrid concludes next month.

Los Blancos are set to make the trip to Paris for the first leg next Tuesday, before the decider takes place in Madrid on March 9.
