Kylie Jenner has revealed she has switched from a lengthy makeup routine, becoming a barefaced beauty by opting for a more natural look. 

The makeup mogul, 25, has ‘changed [her] look a lot’ in recent years going from a reality star known for her glam and bold cosmetics to someone who frequently forgoes a swipe of paint. 

In a video with Vogue, Kylie gave fans a makeup tutorial, revealing that in the past year she has been prioritizing her ‘self-care’ and ‘loving herself.’ 

While explaining her routine that sees her ‘wearing less’ while still achieving ‘that snatched look’, she also revealed a few ‘secrets’ from her own brand that have become her ‘go-to’ items.

Go barefaced while staying ‘snatched’: Kylie’s makeup routine 

  • Start off by using the Kylie Skin Lip Scrub ($21) on a bare face
  • Then, apply ‘two pumps’ of the Kylie Skin moisturizer ($25) to your hand and mix it with the coming-soon Kylie Skin Foundation
  • Next up, use the Nudestix Bronzer ($35) on the cheekbones, forehead, jawline and nose

Kylie – who confessed she would probably be listening to SZA’s new album if she wasn’t filming – explained she doesn’t do her makeup ‘every day’, adding that the ‘majority of the time’ she lets her ‘face breathe.’ 

The glamorous reality TV star began with bare face and started off using by using a Lip Scrub ($21) from her brand Kylie Skin. 

She explained that she loves to start off with a lip scrub before she starts her routine, especially when she knows she is going to done a ‘bold lip or a matte lip.’ 

She then dived into her look that has changed throughout the years. 

Kylie said: ‘I’ve changed my look a lot. I think that I’m into the more natural skin. I wear a lot less, but I’ve accomplished the same snatched look.’

After scrubbing her lips, the star clips the front pieces of her hair back before applying ‘two pumps’ of the Kylie Skin moisturizer ($25) onto her hand. 

She then revealed her ‘first secret’, which was a Kylie Skin Foundation that has yet to be released. 

‘This is one of my foundation samples. My first secret of this whole video. Don’t tell anyone. I’m obsessed. This is my my go-to,’ she said. 

The beauty mogul added a drop of the foundation onto her hand and mixed it in with her moisturizer. 

Kylie revealed she loves using her hands when applying foundation because it is an ‘intimate experience’ and makes her feel more ‘natural.’ 

Next up, she used the Nudestix Bronzer ($35) and applied it to her cheekbones, forehead,  jawline and nose. 

She explained that she uses much less contour now then she did in the past, which she likes because it is ‘less harsh.’

She revealed she likes to mix a ‘peachy’ and ‘neutral’ shade.  

She added that you can even put the Glow Balms –  which are said to provide ‘buildable color without cakiness or streaks’ – to your lips. 

Then, Kylie recalled the days she spent hours on her makeup using an ‘unreal’ amount of ‘powder.’

She explained when she sees a look online, her and her team work to modernize it and make it their own. 

‘I’m in like a very experimental era with makeup and I’m so willing to try new things and new looks,’ Kylie said. 

She then revealed ‘another secret’: the Kylie Skin Cream Shadows, which have yet to release.

As for eyebrows, the makeup mogul revealed she keeps them natural instead of overly-filling them.

Kylie revealed she was launching a KyLash Volume Mascara that would ‘appeal to everyone.’   

She explained she wanted to begin explaining her natural lashes, which she gets from her mom Kris, who has ‘the best lashes.’  

‘I used to wear lash extensions for years and then stopped doing that. I just wanted to really embrace my natural lash because I do have really good lashes. My mom has the best lashes,’ she explained. 

She added that she focuses her mascara towards the corner of her eye to give her eye an ‘almond shape.’ 

Showing off her natural beauty and minimalistic makeup, she said; ‘  This is the full updated Kylie look. I’m sure I’ll see you guys again in a few years when my look changes again.’
