Kym Marsh shows off her rippling abs in a pink sports bra and leggings as she completes 5k run

She has long been a fitness enthusiast. 

And Kym Marsh showcased her washboard abs in a pink sports bra and leggings on Tuesday as she completed a 5k run, despite soaring temperatures throughout the UK.

The former Coronation Street star, 44, admitted she was ‘proud’ of her exercise feat as she captured her incredible figure to Instagram.  

Her chic sports bra featured the phrase, ‘Dream, Achieve, Believe,’ and complemented her black cropped leggings with a pink waistband. 

Kym brushed her brunette tresses back in a high ponytail as she opted for a simple make-up look. 

The TV presenter wrote online: ‘Slowly getting back to fitness!! Managed 5k today in this heat but it nearly finished me off !! Proud of myself though!’

In April, Kym revealed that lockdown has been a blessing to her as she’s been able to spend more quality time with her army officer boyfriend.

The former Coronation Street star explained how Parachute Regiment major Scott Ratcliff, 32, had been serving in Afghanistan when he was sent back home amid Covid-19 restrictions. 

Scott’s rare long stint at home means Kym gets to see more of her beau now that he’s at home for a stretch, as she told The Sun: ‘I feel so lucky to be in this situation.’

The couple had been dating since July 2018 but have had to endure long stints of separation as Scott served abroad, with Kym admitting last April that they had at the time been apart for seven months.

Sharing her joy at Scott being around more, she said: ‘He’s actually home. He was due to go to staff college in September but we’ve ended up spending most of the past year together.’

‘I feel so lucky to be in this situation. It has given me the opportunity to have more time with Scott, my son David, my daughters Emilie and Polly and the rest of my family. I’m not taking those things for granted.’

Kym shares David, 26, and Emily, 24, with her ex Dave Cunliffe, and Polly, 10, with ex-husband Jamie Lomas, 46. 

She also gave birth to a baby boy named Archie in 2009, 18 weeks early, but he tragically passed away moments after he was born.
