LadBaby has vowed that he’ll put a stop to making Christmas tracks if everyone pulls together to support food banks.

Joining Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, LadBaby (Mark Hoyle) revealed their new song Food Aid could be their last.

They announced their fifth attempt for a Christmas No 1 on Sunday as the YouTube stars joined forces with financial expert Martin Lewis.

He told presenters Martin and Kate Garraway: ‘If you want to stop me, donate to food banks all year.

‘Those baskets that you see in supermarkets behind the checkouts, put food in there and I can go away, I can have Christmas off.

‘I wanted last year to be the last one and then we had a cost of living crisis and I became an ambassador of the Trussell Trust and I hear about the problems.

He added: ‘I didn’t want to come back but I’ve got to when it’s making a difference.’

The duo revealed their new charity song Food Aid, a rework of the Band Aid classic, in a surprise Instagram video. 

The song which aims to raise money for those affected by the cost of living crisis, will be released on Friday December 16.

In the clip, Mark expressed his gratitude to his fans as he reflected on LadBaby’s achievements over the past few years and 2021’s fourth Christmas No 1.

Last year, the couple made chart history by securing the Christmas number one for a fourth consecutive year , becoming the first musician to do so in the 70 years of the Official Christmas Chart.

Social media star’s scored last year’s top chart spot with the novelty track Sausage Rolls For Everyone featuring global superstars, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John .

The song is a sausage roll-themed charity rework of Ed and Sir Elton’s own new festive single Merry Christmas, in aid of The Trussell Trust food banks.

The milestone meant that LadBaby surpassed music titans The Beatles and Spice Girls, who are the only other acts to score a consecutive hat-trick of festive number ones.

The track proved to be a huge success, achieving more than 136,000 chart sales in its first week, according to the Official Charts Company.

They fended off competition from festive classics including Wham!’s Last Christmas, which took the third spot, and Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You came in fourth.

The YouTubers began the theme of food pun-based chart-toppers in 2018 with We Built This City, and then went on to claim further success in 2019 with I Love Sausage Rolls and 2020’s Don’t Stop Me Eatin’.
