Lady Gaga sends pizza to fans outside her Montréal hotel

A throng of fans gathered outside Lady Gaga’s Montréal hotel erupted cheering when she emerged onto her balcony to greet them on Monday.

The 31-year-old singer, who fell ill after performing in the rain in Queens last week, had to postpone a concert that’d been scheduled in Montréal this Labor Day.

She was photographed giving her iconic monster hand signal while smiling down at her fans, who were seen beaming as they got the pizza she’d ordered them.

Gaga’s posted Snapchat videos of her balcony view of her enthusiastic fans, who at one point sang Grigio Girls, a bonus track from her latest studio album Joanne.

She’d captioned one post: ‘Only monsters woulld bring the concert to me’ – in a reference to the fact she’s affectionately called her fans Little Monsters for years, a sobriquet derived from her smash hit 2009 EP The Fame Monster.

When seen that day, Gaga had bundled herself up in a voluminous camouflage-patterned jacket and popped a pink baseball cap on over massive sunglasses.

She’s captioned a Snapchat selfie in which she’d worn the same getup: ‘Thank you for all your get well wishes and singing I appreciate it more than you know.’

On Monday Gaga had tweeted a screen-grab of a message ‘To my beautiful fans,’ saying: ‘I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight.’

She’d gone on: ‘I sing this entire show live, and pride myself in giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through. I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight. I love you. Xoxo, Joanne.’

Her next tweet had revealed that ‘I’m sending free [pizza emoji] to any monsters outside my hotel The William Gray Montréal,’ adding a sobbing emoji before closing out: ‘I love u so much & I’m so sorry u are the most loyal fans.’

Gaga had played two shows at Citi Field in Flushing Meadows, Queens – one last Monday and one last Tuesday – and it was the Tuesday one that got the downpour that made her sick, as Entertainment Weekly have reported.
