Lady Gaga shines with pride in rainbow jacket and thigh-high boots before Stonewall performance

Oh there ain’t no other way, Lady Gaga had to dress this way.

The 33-year-old singer and actress made a Pride Month fashion statement in plenty of rainbow gear as she headed to a surprise performance at the historic gay bar Stonewall Inn in New York City on Friday.

The Born This Way hitmaker left The Mark Hotel wearing a rainbow striped jacket with white trim that featured a rainbow checkered print.

She wore it over a black bandeau and denim short shorts with rainbow fringe and pink piping along the front pockets. 

The A Star Is Born actress complemented the jacket with glittery rainbow thigh-high platform heeled boots. 

She completed the ensemble with a pair of gold-framed round sunglasses, matching gold necklaces and a black beret with a rainbow rim, over a blonde ponytail that reached the bottom of her shorts.

Gaga’s surprise performance at Stonewall comes on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which are widely recognized as sparking the LGBTQ rights movement.

The event will recognize newly inducted Stonewall ambassadors, including Hillary Clinton, Donatella Versace and Samira Wiley. 

Also in attendance are Andy Cohen, Whoopi Goldberg, Alicia Keys, Samira Wiley, Kaia Gerber, Tommy Dorfman, Cyndi Lauper, Don Lemon, Wilson Cruz, George Takei, Angelica Ross, Christian Siriano and Frankie Grande

New York is currently hosting the month-long festivities for World Pride in honor of the monumental anniversary.
