Lady Gaga’s chapped lips take over social media after her Oscars performance

Lady Gaga wowed viewers with her raw performance at the Academy Awards on Sunday night, but many were left distracted by her ‘chapped’ lips.

The vocal powerhouse, 36, delivered an emotional rendition of her Oscar-nominated song Hold My Hand from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack.

The singer and actress opted to go back to basics for the performance after changing out of her Versace gown and removing the makeup she had been wearing earlier on the red carpet.

But, while the Poker Face hitmaker gave a stunning performance, it was her cracked lips that caught fans’ attention and they flocked to social media to share their reactions.

‘And we all need a hero sometimes, there’s heroes all around us. In unassuming places, but you might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside,’ she poignantly added.

During her performance, she pulled her hair back into a simple braid.
