Lady in red! Queen Máxima of the Netherlands stuns in scarlet gown as she attends Kings Day concert in Rotterdam

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands stunned in a scarlet gown as she attended a concert in Rotterdam with her family last night.

The European monarch, 51, opted for a printed floral maxi dress with sheer voluminous sleeves for the Kings Day concert at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam.

The mother-of-three accessorised her colourful silk gown with chic black accessories.

Cinching herself in at the waist, the royal opted for a statement plaited leather belt with fringing detail.

Braving the cooler temperatures, Máxima donned some sheer black tights which she wore with a pair of chunky heeled sandals.

The couple were all smiles as they arrived at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam last night for the annual King’s Day concert

For an extra layer of warmth, the royal draped a black velvet fringed scarf over one shoulder.

The monarch finished off her stylish ensemble with a boxy black leather clutch bag and some purple jewel dangly earrings.

What’s more, she also opted for a glam makeup look for her night out with her family.

Styling her hair in her signature loose waves, Máxima wore a glitzy bronze smokey eye look and a slick of nude lipstick.

Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander looked equally as smart in a navy suit, white shirt and a purple tie which matched his wife’s earrings.

The couple’s daughters Princess Amalia, 19, and Princess Ariane, 16, also stunned in sophisticated ensembles.

While Ariane looked chic in a navy suit and white silk camisole, her sister Ariane stunned in a blue pleated dress and silver accessories.

The family were also joined by King Willem-Alexander’s mother Princess Beatrix, 85, and his sister-in-law Princess Laurentien, 56.

The King’s Day concert is held every year in the days leading up to King Willem-Alexander’s birthday. The monarch will turn 56 on 27 April next week.

On the monarch’s actual birthday, a series of markets and parties are held all across the country.

In 2021, the family celebrated the King’s birthday with a trip to the Dutch city of Eindhoven – where they took part in a live-streamed TV special.

Last night, the Royal Family watched several performances by the Rotterdram’s philharmonic orchestra and Dutch musicians Davina Michelle and Winne.
