Erik Lamela kept the mood up in the Tottenham camp as he larked around following their training session on Thursday.
After toiling away in temperatures that soared to 27 degrees Celsius in Madrid at the Alfred di Stefano Stadium, there was plenty of reason to take care in a proper cool down ahead of their Champions League final on Saturday.
However, Paulo Gazzaniga’s proved to be a little more intense than he bargained for thanks to his Argentinean team-mate.
Erik Lamela emerged from the tunnel at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium on Thursday
The Argentinean snuck up on an unsuspecting Paulo Gazzaniga who was chilling in an ice bath
Already chilling in an ice bath, the goalkeeper was chatting away with Kieran Trippier when Lamela appeared from the tunnel.
The moment was caught by the club’s official Instagram account, as the winger slinked behind Son Heung-min before pouring an entire bucket of water over Gazzaniga.
His restrained reaction suggests it may have been a little less aggravating than it was intended to be, helping him cope with the heat.
Distracted while speaking to Kieran Trippier, the keeper then feels the full force of the water
Given the conditions, Gazzaniga may have been grateful after working in 27-degree heat
Meanwhile, Hugo Lloris has revealed that he is desperate to beat Liverpool on Saturday evening at the Wanda Metropolitano to repay boss Mauricio Pochettino.
‘I think in life or in your career there is always some amazing meeting in terms of person, and it’s been the case with Mauricio,’ he said.
‘And you know we are all ambitious and we are all working every day in the club to make history.

‘We could not do it before in the Premier League but we’ve done very well the last four years to reach the top four.
‘And we have a fantastic opportunity in the Champions League. It’s the biggest trophy that you can win and when it’s in front of you you must do everything to get it.
‘And it’s even more when you do it with people that you really want to do it, with Mauricio. It means even more.
‘It’s even better when the relationship is stronger and that is the case with my team-mates and with the manager and we want to do it together.’
