Former Liverpool and Nottingham Forest star Larry Lloyd died on Thursday aged 75.

The Bristol-born defender won the First Division title with Liverpool in 1973 and won the UEFA Cup in the same season, playing 214 times for the Reds over five years at Anfield.

He moved to Forest – then a second division team – in 1976 after just over two seasons with Coventry and was part of the team that won two consecutive European Cups under Brian Clough in 1979 and 1980.

During five seasons at the City Ground, Lloyd also won his second league title in 1978 and two League Cups in 1978 and 1979.

Lloyd won four England caps and later managed Wigan and Notts County after retiring.
