A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer who is said to have used police equipment to record a man’s genitalia without him knowing, appeared in court on Thursday.

Rachel Sorkow, 29, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with five counts of felony misconduct, along with ‘capturing the image of the private area of another person’ and indecent exposure, according to arrest documents obtained by News Las Vegas.

Sorkow has sense been relived of duty with pay.

Police began investigating allegations back in September 2018 and found that the patrol officer had been sharing information with people who were not authorized to see it. She was using her connections in law enforcement to skate around clearance issues.

This information – which she is believed to have gotten on 19 occasions – included background information on loved one’s significant others.

Sorkow is said to have recorded seven videos of four people who were ‘in her control as a police officer,’ KVVU reports.

In one video, a man with a tear in his pants is seen kicking a squad car with his genitals exposed. Sorkow had gotten on the PA system to tell the man to continue kicking the car in a video she distributed to friends.

The woman is also said to have referred to the man as her ‘n***a’.

She is said to have also responded to a call of a mentally ill man who was wearing two dresses and had his hair in pigtails. Sorkow allegedly recorded herself telling the man that she wanted to see him ‘dougie and twerk’ and then ‘we’re good’. Once he starts dancing she tells him to do it again.

When mentioned to her by another officer, Sorkow is said to have used a transphobic epithet.
