While Laura usually claims she feels on cloud nine with her weight, she acknowledges the importance to share the downs as well as the ups – which she has been experiences recently.

She wrote: ‘I’m really struggling with my body image at the moment, for the first time in a while.

‘I’ve pretty much come to a place of self acceptance. But for the past couple of weeks, for some reason, my appetite has been insatiable and I’ve felt really out of control with my eating – even bingeing again which I haven’t done in ages.

‘This has meant I’ve gone to bed most nights with the feeling of ‘Ugh, I hate myself’. I know the best thing I could do is get out and do some exercise and eating more nutritiously. But honestly it’s just felt impossible.’

She added: ‘Why am I sharing this? Because a) I think it’s important to be honest and show the ups and downs of real life instead of everything being picture perfect.

‘And b) because I think it’s important to show that the road to self acceptance and body neutrality isn’t linear…’

In separate post, Laura wrote down a list of things she is trying to do to ‘get through this blip’.

She wrote: ‘I am more than my bad days, I am more than my body, the way I look is the least interesting thing about me, this too shall pass. If you’re struggling too, have a big virtual hug from me.’

Laura previously admitted on her body positivity podcast Go Love Yourself that she does worry about the health implications her size may bring when she’s older.

Yet she reasoned: ‘I think a lot of people think when you’re body positive you’re promoting obesity but actually we’re just existing.’

Discussing her yo-yo dieting, she continued: ‘I’ve tried every single diet numerous times, tried everything and all that happens is that I put the weight back on and more and feel s***er.’

‘I’m at the point where I think diets don’t work, I don’t want to have bariatric surgery, my options are to try and be a bit healthier and just accept myself and not beat myself up and try and live life to full.’
