Laura Byrne has revealed her entire family have been infested with head lice.
On Monday’s episode of the Life Uncut podcast, The former Bachelor star revealed the horror after she first made the discovery of the lice in her eldest daughter’s hair.
‘I looked down at [daughter] Marlie, and I was just giving her a head massage, and I was like “girlfriend, you got dandruff” and then I had a look a bit closer and I was like “holy s**t.” She had full on nits crawling through her hair,’ she said.
‘So we went home and everyone has had nit treatments…Friday, Saturday, Sunday, all we’ve done is nit-treat each other. We’re like monkeys in a zoo that pick bugs off each other and eat them,’ she said, before detailing her hack for getting rid of the pesky parasites.
‘I’ve done two treatments on the girls, two treatments on myself, two treatments on Nana.’

Treating a head lice infestation is a relatively simple but painstaking process, involving the killing of live lice and the removing of their unhatched eggs, which the insects attach to hair follicles.
Laura went on to say that husband Matt was adamant he didn’t need the treatment and resisted it before they also found lice in his hair.
She described dealing with the infestation as ‘humbling’ and she has ‘entered a new phase of parenting.’

Last month, doting mother Laura was celebrated by her husband Matty ‘J’ Johnson, who she met on The Bachelor.
Matty took to Instagram with a sweet tribute to his wife on Mother’s Day.
On the Instagram of his podcast Two Doting Dads, which Matty co-hosts with Ash Wicks, the men shared photos of their wives and in the caption wrote they were ‘incredibly lucky’ to have them in their lives.
Laura featured in one of the photos holding the couple’s second child, Lola.
The tribute concluded with, ‘No words will ever be able to express how much we appreciate your patience, humour, strength and unwavering love. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there!’
Laura and Matty welcomed their first baby, a little girl called Marlie-Mae, in 2019 after becoming engaged on their babymoon two months prior.
Their second daughter Lola was born in February 2021.
