She won Matty ‘J’ Johnson’s heart in the highly-anticipated Bachelor finale.
But Laura Byrne doesn’t want her beau to be friends with fellow finalist Elise Stacy.
When asked if she’d be happy for the two to continue a relationship on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Friday, she said: ‘I’m never going to tell Matty who he can and can’t be friends with.’

When Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes – who was filling in for a sick Kyle Sandilands – quipped that her answer was ‘definitely a no’ Laura erupted into laughter.
‘But if he does I’ll cut him,’ she joked.
During the interview on the breakfast radio show Laura said she wanted ‘the absolute best’ for Elise.
‘It’s very hard expecting her to put on a brave front and pretend like she could be happy and me pretend like I could be heartbroken to try and keep up the illusion,’ she said.

Laura then added: ‘I think everyone is just so happy that no-one has to live any sort of lie anymore.’
The Sydney-based jewellery designer also revealed that her and Elise had been close during filming of The Bachelor but had drifted apart following the finale.
‘Elise and I were friends in the house, we slept in the same room and we did that right up until we went to Thailand,’ she said.

Describing giving interviews with Elise prior to the finale as ‘difficult,’ Laura said: ‘We hadn’t spoken, we’d exchanged a few messages.’
When asked which of The Bachelor contestants they thought should be The Bachelorette in 2018, Matty and Laura both suggested third place finalist Tara Pavlovic.
‘I would really enjoy watching Tara,’ said Matty.
