Laura Ingraham to anchor 10pm Fox News show

Laura Ingraham is officially joining Fox News.

Rumors have been swirling since last week that the radio talk show host would be getting her own show on the right-leaning TV network.

The network confirmed those reports on Monday, saying Ingraham would anchor a new show called The Ingraham Angle in the 10pm time slot.

Sean Hannity will have his show moved up to the 9pm time slot, where he will go head-to-head with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in the ratings.

Ingraham hosts The Laura Ingraham Show, a national syndicated conservative radio talk show.

She has been a longtime guest host on Hannity. Before Bill O’Reilly was booted from the network for sexual harassment, Ingraham had a weekly segment on his show, The O’Reilly Factor, as well.

When President Trump took office, there were rumors that Ingraham would be brought in as press secretary, but that never came to fruition.

Fox News has been in a state of flux ever since Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit against the network in July 2016, saying she was sexually harassed by then-CEO Roger Ailes.

That prompted Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, to conduct an internal investigation, which ended in Ailes resigning. He then died in May after falling down in his Florida home and injuring his head.

Greta Van Susteren was one of the first high-profile anchor to leave the network, saying in September 2016 that Fox ‘has not felt like home to me for a few years now’.

Kelly left in January, deciding not to renew her contract and instead join NBC.

Three months later, O’Reilly was booted from the network for allegedly sexually harassing multiple female employees at the network and then paying them to keep them quiet.

After Donald Trump was elected president, there were rumors that Ingraham would become press secretary, but that never came to fruition (pictured above a the 2016 Republican National Convention)
