‘Because I was [at the] very height of my career and actually as years went on, the girls on the show [TOWIE] had brought shows out because they had kids – that could’ve been me.’

Lauren went ahead with the abortion after being told she would lose out on deals if she was pregnant, noting ‘life was different’.

The star went on to say that having a baby now would be a positive asset, remarking ‘You can do baby brands, but I haven’t done any of it.’

‘It wasn’t just that obviously, but that played a part.’

Lauren added that when she was a girl, she was always told that she must marry before having a baby, but ‘that didn’t happen.

Jake tragically lost his life when his car plunged 70ft off a cliff in Bodrum, Turkey on Sunday July 3.

The TV personality went on to welcome a daughter, Larose, with ex Charles Drury in 2021.

Heartbreakingly, the former couple’s second daughter, Lorena, passed away in July 2022, shortly after her birth.

On Wednesday, Lauren took to Instagram to reveal her reasons for doing the podcast, where she told how she told her ‘truth’ but wanted to speak ‘positively and respectfully’ about people in her past.

The star added that the process of talking was ‘healing’ for her amid the hardships from her past.

In a lengthy statement, she penned: ‘I chose to do this podcast with Paul because I trust him. He’s a good man. I really enjoyed our time together on Celebs Go Dating and his support of me continued long after the cameras stopped rolling. Paul showed me great kindness when I lost Lorena and he helped me find the therapist that started my healing journey so when he invited me to be a guest on his brand new podcast, I recognised an opportunity to finally tell my story, my way.

‘The conversation was healing and I really hope you will see a side of me you’ve not seen before. Perhaps you will understand me a little better. I’m not looking for sympathy or anyone’s approval, but if the world can understand my choices a little better, well that would be a lovely thing.

‘I told my truth but I spoke positively and respectfully about everyone in my past. I have done enough healing and self reflection to know the good they brought into my life and the role I played in the stuff we’d rather forget.’

She went on: ‘The podcast is not about those mentioned but about how those relationships shaped me as a person, for good and for bad. Telling my story was never about shaming, blaming or hurting anyone ese but just telling my story to help me heal and move forward with my life and career with positivity. These are questions I am always asked and I’m no longer afraid to answer.

‘It’s been an incredibly painful few years but more recently I’ve been hopeful of my chance to build the life I want with my beautiful Larose. She is my everything and I’m forever grateful for her.’

The TV personality went on to urge people to only comment if they had listened to the full episode, advising not to take need of false narratives and to show understanding in the  ‘vulnerability in sharing some of life’s hardest struggles.’
