Lauren Phillips’ ex Lachlan Spark announces his engagement – just weeks after the KIIS FM star revealed she’s set to wed private jet tycoon Paul O’Brien

Lachlan Spark has announced his engagement to Courtney Wynbergen, just weeks after his ex, KIIS FM star Lauren Phillips revealed she’s set to tie the knot. 

Lachlan shared the news via Instagram with him thanking friends and followers for their support of the couple taking the next step. 

‘A very big thank you to everyone who has called and messaged to congratulate us on the engagey,’ he began. 

‘Courtney and I are feeling very loved, and exceptionally grateful for the kindness.’ 

The pair look to be holidaying in Italy, with Lachlan then sharing a joke about the luxurious trip the pair are on.  

‘I’m also feeling quite chonky and sunburnt and exceptionally grateful for morning beers and mozzarella balls. Now that’s Amore,’ he finished. 

Ex-wife Lauren announced her engagement to Paul O’Brien on her radio show in July, telling her co-host Jase Hawkins about their surprise proposal in Mykonos. 

‘We went to Europe for the holidays. We had a few days in Rome just the two of us and I thought if he was going to propose, it would’ve been the two of us,’ she began.

‘Then we went to Mykonos and met up with all of our friends and turns out I was the only person who didn’t know about it. He proposed in front of all our friends. I had no idea and then next minute he was down on one knee.’

O’Brien runs high-end aviation charter group AVMIN and has several celebrity clients, including Matt Damon, his wife Luciana Barroso, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky. 

The notoriously private couple have been dating since early 2020 and now live together in Byron Bay.

Lauren started dating Paul while she was living in Melbourne at the start of the Covid pandemic in early 2020.

The couple were together for seven years before a bitter split saw them take digs at each other in public. 

Following their break-up, Lachlan accused Lauren of ‘caring more about herself’ during their relationship and said he’d wasted years of his life with the wrong person.

Lauren countered by saying she was ‘proud’ of how she handled the break-up – a not-so-subtle swipe at Lachlan for criticising her publicly.
