Lauren Phillips left outraged as she speaks to male escort: ‘I thought I would think this is really gross’

Radio personality Lauren Phillips admits she went into an interview with a well-known male escort believing she’d find what he had to say ‘really gross.’

The Nova star, 41, and her co-host Jase Hawkins interviewed George Goulburn on their Jase & Lauren breakfast show on Wednesday.

Lauren began by pressing the 52-year-old for over whether he took relationship status into account when seeing female clients.

‘Do you care if your clients are engaged, married, single?’ Lauren probed.

‘It’s their business so I leave it up to them. They’re coming to see me for a reason, whatever they may be. So no, it doesn’t affect whether or not I’ll accept,’ replied Goulburn.

He revealed his clients often include cashed up 50-something widowers, divorcees and older women whose husbands are no longer sexually interested in them.

Lauren then challenged George on his preferred job description as a ‘sex worker’.

‘I think if we had a female escort in here right now people would be like: She’s a hooker,’ Lauren said.

‘It really s**ts me the way men and women are treated so differently when it comes to sex,’ she continued.

‘This segment already would be seen as more scandalous if it was a female what we were talking to,’ Jase added.

While outraged about the double standards placed on male versus female sex workers, Lauren admitted that George had actually changed her mind.

‘Yeah. Well, I feel like, I don’t know, maybe this is controversial, but for some reason, sitting here talking to you now, before I met you and we had this conversation, I thought I would think this is really gross, but I don’t feel really gross about this,’ she conceded.

‘You’ve got to think there’d be people who, you know, divorcees, widows, widowers, who just like want comfort,’ Jase agreed.

George made a very unusual change to his working life a year ago – he moved from the renewable energy world to something with more immediate results.

He now works as a straight, male escort, with clients aged from ‘very attractive women in their 30s to an 80-year-old with a ‘very high sex drive’.

‘When I was made redundant from my last full-time job, I was thinking, well, what do I do now,’ the NSW-based man has told Daily Mail Australia.

He always enjoyed sex, loves women and had been on thousands of dates in the decade before he decided to make the ‘natural progression’ into escort work.

That price ranges from $1,200 for a two-hour ‘intimate tryst’ to $2,500 for a four-hour hook-up with a couple, to $5,000 for a 12-hour overnight stay.

Some of his clients are women who are ‘not getting the sexual satisfaction that they want’ in their relationships, or they are tired of the dating app treadmill.

George told the Melbourne radio hosts that he’ll be travelling to Scotland to meet up with one of his regulars in Scotland in the next two weeks.

In a recent interview with The Advertiser, George’s client Kate, 60, said she’s paying $20,000 to take her NSW-based paramour on a one week trip to Europe.
