It was another busy weekend in League One, and Sportsmail’s TOM FARMERY reflects on all the action.
HERO OF THE WEEK
Ben Whiteman. The 21-year-old midfielder scored a 10-minute hat-trick for Doncaster in the 4-1 thrashing of Southend.

ZERO OF THE WEEK
Graham Alexander. After losing in the play-offs last season, the Scunthorpe manager was meant to be targeting automatic promotion this year. His side lost to Shrewsbury last week and went down 2-1 at home to 10-man Wigan on Saturday. Not good enough.

GOAL OF THE WEEK
Charlie Wyke finished off a brilliant Bradford move in their 4-1 victory at MK Dons. Nicky Law cut inside from the left and passed to Jake Reeves. His pass split the defence and found Matthew Kilgallon, who played the ball back across the six-yard box for Wyke to convert.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Darrell Clarke. ‘We’re a close-knit group and wanted to win the game for Tom Nichols,’ said the Bristol Rovers manager after his side had demolished Northampton 6-0 despite striker Nichols, who hasn’t scored all season, missing a first-half penalty. ‘He’s not having the best of spells. We wanted to win the game for him. I asked that of the players and they responded.’
STAT OF THE WEEK
Five — that’s how many home games rock-bottom Plymouth have lost on the bounce after going down 2-1 to Fleetwood on a miserable afternoon at Home Park. Plymouth are in big trouble, with five points from a possible 36 this season.
