A dark shadow has been cast over Lincoln City’s victory over Forest Green Rovers as defender Sean Raggett accused Rovers goalkeeper Bradley Collins of spitting at him.
Lincoln came out 1-0 victors at the New Lawn stadium thanks to a second-half strike from Harry Anderson but the game was disrupted by a melee of players clashing in the middle of the pitch.
Following the game, Raggett tweeted his response and the 23-year-old, on loan from Norwich City, wrote: ‘Embarrassing to have their (Forest Green) goalkeeper spit at me during the game, makes the 1-0 win even sweeter.’

Elsewhere in League Two, fixtures were far from goal-frenzies but all similarly tight contests, including Exeter’s clash with Barnet which saw Jayden Stockley’s injury-time goal give the Exeter a 2-1 win to send them top of the League Two table.
Stockley struck in the fourth minute of injury time after Reuben Reid had cancelled out Shaquile Coulthirst’s opener for the hosts.
