LeBron James is trolled by Kevin Gates as rapper sits courtside for Lakers game after Savannah jab

Rapper Kevin Gates trolled LeBron James on Tuesday night amid their recent feud as he sat courtside for the Lakers’ playoff game.

Gates bizarrely took a shot at James and his wife, Savannah, over the weekend when he said in a video that he ‘don’t like the way’ she looks at the NBA star, adding that ‘white women’ look at him differently.

James later appeared to respond to Gates in an Instagram post, as he captioned a pair of loving photos of him and Savannah: ‘Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants.’

And after Gates doubled down on his remarks in a subsequent video, saying ‘the truth hurts,’ he was courtside for Game 2 of the Lakers’ first round series with the Timberwolves.

The ‘2 Phones’ artist sat with girlfriend Brittany Renner as the Lakers evened the series with a crucial 94-85 win.

James didn’t seem to be affected by Gates’ presence at the game as he scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Luka Doncic also had a massive game for the Lakers as he poured in 31 points to go along with 12 rebounds and nine assists. 

The series will resume in Minnesota on Friday for Game 3.

In the initial video Gates posted over the weekend, he also said Savannah acted like her husband was ‘bothering her’ during a pregame handshake, in an apparent reference to a 2023 video.

Gates went on to call Savannah ‘the warden of the jail’ while saying James’ spirit was so ‘loving and giving.’

‘I know a lot of people are going to hate what I just said but I’m just gonna be honest… I love LeBron and I hate that for him,’ he added. 

He also captioned a second video: ‘@kingjames, I’m way less than a peasant, i’m a simple servant of #Allah and I love you.’

James scored 21 points on Tuesday as the Lakers evened the series with the Timberwolves

Savannah and James are seen attending a WNBA game together in June of last year

James and Savannah were married in September 2013 and have three children together.

LeBron ‘Bronny’ Jr. is 20 years old and is a teammate of his father’s, Bryce is 17, and Zhuri, 10.

LeBron and Savannah have known each other since their high school days in Ohio, when James played for St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron.
