Lego Masters to introduce a ‘twist’ to the 2022 season as each team gains a celebrity member
Channel Nine will be adding a twist to next year’s season of Lego Masters.
The Hamish Blake-hosted hit show is set to introduce a celebrity to each team as an additional member, reports The Herald Sun.
However, the stars will only be add-ons, and the format will not be completely changed to include teams entirely composed of celebrities.

In previous seasons, the show featured pairs facing off against other contestants to build their elaborate Lego creations.
The twist reveal comes after Nine firmly denied that Hamish played a part in the show’s production relocation from Melbourne to Sydney.
A Nine spokesperson said last month: ‘Hamish has no input into where the show is made. He loves doing it and will travel to wherever it is if that’s what it takes.’
This came after The Daily Telegraph reported the comedian had talks with the network and production company Endemol Shine Australia to move the show to Sydney, where he is now based with his wife Zoë Foster Blake and their children.

Relocating: Channel Nine recently denied Hamish ‘had input’ into where Lego Masters is produced, after the series relocated from Melbourne to Sydney
Sources told the Telegraph he was ‘unwilling to commit to a 12-week Melbourne lockdown or repeated mandatory quarantines’ in order to film a fourth season, particularly with Australia’s ever-changing Covid-19 situation and border closures.
While some crew members have been offered jobs in Sydney, the relocation of the show has reportedly resulted in 80 job losses for the Melbourne production staff.
A Nine spokesperson confirmed news of the relocation to Sydney, adding: ‘Every show has to be nimble to navigate the health and safety impacts.’
Filming for the upcoming 2022 season is scheduled run from October to December.

Hamish and wife Zoë, who share six-year-old son Sonny and three-year-old daughter Rudy, moved from Melbourne to Sydney earlier this year.
Before the move, Hamish had announced: ‘For a long time I have known that stealing my wife from Sydney would mean one day we’d venture there to live for a while.
‘Since her business is going so strong (“booming” I believe is the business term), her family is there, and I am keen to get a role on Bondi Rescue (as a tourist who faints from eating too many ice creams) it seemed like the time to make the move!

‘The loose plan is for a few years, but however long it’s for, we’re excited for this adventure with our little family. I guess we really took the ”see Australia” message seriously.’
Zoë, who last year made her debut on the Young Rich List, is the founder of skincare brand Go-To, which is worth an estimated $36million.
The Blakes, who have been married for 12 years, are now the proud owners of an $8.925 million property in the upmarket suburb of Vaucluse, in Sydney’s east.
