Leicester complete £7.5m move for Wolves outcast Conor Coady

Leicester complete £7.5m move for Wolves outcast Conor Coady – and will pay an extra £1m if they’re promoted straight back to the Premier League

Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Conor Coady from Wolves for £7.5million – with an additional £1m if the Foxes gain immediate promotion.

The 30-year-old defender joins the Foxes on a three-year deal after eight seasons at Wolves, though he spent last campaign on loan at Everton.

He arrives having made over 300 appearances for Wolves and ten international outings for England.

His new Championship side announced the signing of Harry Winks from Tottenham earlier today.

Everton opted against signing the veteran centre-back for £4.5m at the end of his loan deal and he had his medical on Thursday.

Known for his leadership experience, Coady captained Wolves to consecutive 7th-placed finishes under Nuno Espirito Santo and led the side back into Europe.

This is a breaking news story. More details to follow.
