Leigh Sales and Sally Obermeder slam Nine over Lisa’s pay

Women in media are leading the chorus of women praising outgoing Today host Lisa Wilkinson for refusing to accept pay inequity.

ABC’s 7:30 host Leigh Sales led the charge on Twitter on Monday, paying tribute to Lisa’s ‘highly competent and warm prescence’ and telling Nine: ‘huge loss for them.’

The Project co-host Carrie Bickmore, shared her excitement for the signing, while Sally Obermeder and even NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian also weighed-in.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian was unrelenting with her opposition to the way Channel Nine dealt with the ordeal.

‘If the reason is about equal pay I say good on her… That would be akin to me getting a pay cut because my predecessors weren’t female,’ she wrote.
