The Jamaican was electric against Nottingham Forest, creating the opener for Ollie Watkins and scoring the fourth. 

Douglas Luiz netted twice, with Moussa Niakhate and Morgan Gibbs-White scoring for Forest.

The visitors should be inspired by Villa’s achievements in the last five years.

After promotion in 2019, they avoided relegation the following season and managed a top-half finish last season, when Unai Emery tidied up the mess left by Steven Gerrard’s disastrous tenure.

This defeat left Nuno Espirito Santo’s side four points above the bottom three and they face leaders Liverpool at the City Ground on Saturday — and still have the threat of a points deduction hanging over them.

But if they can survive this season, Forest should be optimistic. Nuno showed during his four years at Wolves that if a club is shaped to his liking, he can achieve excellent results
