A missing music fan who disappeared after a night at a Liam Gallagher concert in Newcastle last night has been found after the world-famous singer retweeted an appeal to find him.  

The former Oasis frontman made the plea after Joseph Hogg went missing following the show at the city’s Utilita Arena.

Joseph was last seen at about 11.30pm with ‘no phone or money and without his shirt on’.

However, just after 11am on Monday, police confirmed he had been found.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: ‘We can confirm that missing person Joseph Hogg has been found safe and well.’

Earlier, Gallagher shared an appeal from a Twitter user who said he was Joseph’s cousin.

The tweet said: ‘My cousin Joseph Hogg has gone missing after last nights Liam Gallagher gig. Last seen around half 11 in Newcastle with no phone or money and without his shirt on.

‘No sign of him on CCTV yet last seen somewhere near the Life Centre. Please RT #LiamGallagher #newcastle.’

Katy Stobbs also tweeted: ‘MISSING! Twitter please do you thing! His name is Joe Hogg, and he was at the Liam Gallagher concert last night in Newcastle, he stormed off from the gig with no phone, no too on and no money at all, and hasn’t been seen since, it was around 11pm. Everyone please share.’

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: ‘We can confirm we are searching for missing 17-year-old Joseph Hogg who was reported missing from the Utilita Arena shortly after 11.30pm on November 17.

‘Enquiries to locate him are ongoing and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1128 171119.’
