  • You can now return the products for a full refund without a receipt  

Lidl has been forced to pull salt and pepper shakers from its shelves for fear they could contain shards of glass. 

The Food Standard Agency released the safety recall notice yesterday after they found the potential risk. 

The products affected are the Kania salt mills, 110g, and Kania pepper mills, 50g.

Customers who have purchased either of these are entitled to a full refund without needing to show a receipt

The batches of salt that could have been affected are: 9032AA, 9032BA, 9032CA, 9032CB, 9033AB, 9033AC. 

The batches of pepper that could have been affected are: 02/2024.

Both have date that is best before 2024. 

Customers who have any concerns can call the the retailer’s customer services on 03704441234.

In a recall notice issued on the Food Standards Agency website, the retailer said: ‘Lidl GB wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused’. 

The recall comes just five days after Lidl were forced to pull another product from its shelves – Mr Choc Choco and Caramel bars – because a labelling error meant they posed a risk to nut allergy sufferers.
