The network released the clip for the upcoming made-for-TV film NXIVM Cult: A Mother’s Nightmare Friday ahead of its September 21 release
Lifetime will release a movie based on the infamous sex cult Nxivm this fall, detailing the true story of how former former Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg’s daughter India became a sex slave for leader Keith Raniere. Catherine (right) and India (left) are seen arriving in court with their lawyer on the last day of Raniere’s trial in June, where he was convicted on all counts
The trailer shows Jasper Polish as India Oxenberg as she becomes a sex slave for leader Keith Raniere.
It is based on her mother Catherine Oxenberg’s memoirs after she took her then 20-year-old daughter to a leadership seminar at NXIVM.
In the clip Polish can be seen in terrifying scenes alongside actor Peter Facinelli as Raniere.
As ‘yes, master’ repeats viewers are shown how India becomes further trapped by the cult. In a voiceover viewers hear: ‘This is more than just top-secret. This is about learning to reach your maximum potential.’
Later we hear from Polish as India who says: ‘You have no idea what these people are capable of.’
Smallville actress Allison Mack, who is played by lookalike Sara Fletcher, says: ‘He just wants what’s best for all of us. Are you ready for your NXIVM transformation?’

‘When Catherine learns about a leadership seminar from a new organization called Nxivm she decides to take her 20-year-old daughter India to the professional development meeting.
‘Led by the extremely enigmatic Keith Raniere, Catherine can’t help but shake the feeling there’s more than meets the eye with the self-help organization,’ Lifetime’s statement said of the movie produced with Sony Pictures Television.
‘Despite Catherine’s best efforts, India is drawn deeper into the cult, eventually joining a secret sorority of female members who are branded with the cult leader’s initials, ordered to maintain a restricted diet and forced to recruit other women as sex slaves. [It] tells the story of a mother who will stop at nothing to get her daughter back.’
The real-life Raniere was found guilty on all counts related to running the cult in June.
A former ‘slave’ testified at his federal sex trafficking trial that India was spent a year restricted to a 500-calorie-per-day diet after being recruited by Mack.
Another ex-‘slave’ testified that India went on to have her own slave.
She was said to be one of many DOS members who had Raniere’s initials branded on their bodies during a bizarre and excruciatingly painful ceremony.
Catherine was consistently present in the Brooklyn courtroom during the trial. After the sweeping guilty verdict was handed down, she called her daughter and excitedly said: ‘I’m so happy, congratulations.’
She asked India how she felt and then said: ‘You’re in shock, I’m in shock, too. I love you.’
It was Catherine who initially took India to a meeting for a Nxivm motivational course back in 2011 after her daughter wanted to try her hand at being an entrepreneur.
India was then allegedly lured into the secretive DOS group by Allison Mack, turning over ‘collateral’ to show her devotion and having her diet restricted to just 500 calories a day so that she could weigh 107 pounds, according to court records.
She also had Raniere’s initials branded on her skin near her pelvic area.
‘F*** him. He’s done. F***ing a**hole,’ Oxenberg later bluntly declared to the press.
