Lily Collins debuts new blonde hair in selfie on Instagram

She’s every inch the fashionista and never fails to dazzle on the red carpet.

And Lily Collins unveiled a bold new look as she debuted blonde locks in a sweet selfie shared to her Instagram account on Thursday.

The actress, 28, showed off her smoldering new look with golden curls cascading down to her shoulders, a stark difference from her usual brunette ‘do.

‘I really am having more fun’: Lily Collins unveiled a bold new look as she debuted blonde locks in a sweet selfie shared to her Instagram account on Thursday

Lily – the daughter of British musician Phil Collins – looked fresh-faced as she posed for the camera with barely a spot of make-up.

The Rules Don’t Apply star captioned the gorgeous photo: ‘Not sure if it’s the blonde or this city, but I really am having more fun…’

Lily was most recently seen presenting nominations at the annual Independent Spirit Awards at The Jeremy Hotel in West Hollywood last week.

The actress looked typically chic in a pretty floral mini-dress, with a kick hemline with a scalloped edge.

Lily starred in Marti Noxon’s To The Bone and Bong Joon-Ho’s Okja, two of this year’s most widely praised indie movies, both of which are available to stream on Netflix.

A high point of her career came in January when she was nominated for a Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe for her role in the Warren Beatty flick Rules Don’t Apply.

The hard-working actress recently embarked on filming the J.R.R Tolkien biopic where she stars as Tolkien’s wife alongside Nicholas Hoult.

It will chart the story of Tolkien’s earlier years as a love lorn soldier who returned from the Great War – which he later used as inspiration for The Lord Of The Rings.

The movie, Tolkien, is currently filming.

The actress is no stranger to shaking up her look, joking that she’s ‘lost track’ of her natural hair color because she’s changed it so many times.

Speaking to the New York Times last year, she said: ‘I’ve kind of lost track of my natural color. I just got back to brown from watermelon-red.

‘That was for a role. I was shooting a movie in Korea, and my character’s name is Red. It’s nice to be back to brown because I know the makeup colors that work.

‘But my hair has been through so much. There’s the coloring, but I’ve also been doing a lot of period pieces, and they’re always curling my hair.’
