Line Of Duty’s Vicky McClure and Martin Compston are left in hysterics

Line Of Duty’s Vicky McClure and Martin Compston were left in hysterics on Friday’s Celebrity Gogglebox after noticing that co-star Adrian Dunbar was wearing broken glasses.

The stars of the BBC hit police series joined the cast of the Channel 4 show where they watched the best of the week’s TV in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a one-off special in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

Yet Vicky, 37, who plays DI Kate Fleming, and Martin, 36, known as DS Steve Arnott, could not stop laughing after noticing Adrian was wearing glasses with just one arm.

The stars looked worlds away from the staunch dress code and steely expressions of the anti-corruption unit as they laughed on the famous sofa while clad in tracksuits.

Vicky looked comfortable in a tan hoodie and matching joggers as she pointed out that her co-star Adrian, 62, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings, was wearing broken glasses.

Struggling to contain her laughter, she said: ‘Aider you are going home without the arm of your glasses!’

However a bemused Adrian added: ‘What’s wrong with it?’

Martin said: ‘You have got to have another pair of glasses? You’ve got to have another pair of glasses.’

While his co-stars laughed, Adrian sipped on his beer adding: ‘I don’t.’

Martin continued: ‘Where is the bit for it?’

While Vicky remarked: ‘I think that is genius.’

Meanwhile Adrian added: ‘I don’t give a s****.’

Fans of the show were quick to notice how Adrian appeared to be the father figure in the trio while Vicky and Martin cheekily behaved like ‘two annoying teenagers’.

The group watched the Scream film and were left horrified during one scene leading to Martin and Vicky shrieking on the sofa.

However Adrian remained calm throughout the nail-biting scene leaving Twitter fans in hysterics at his blank expression.

One wrote: ‘Adrian Dunbar looking like a dad who was trying to watch his favourite programme with two annoying teenagers beside him.’

Earlier this month, Line Of Duty fans claimed to have pointed out a ‘huge spoiler’ after show creator Jed Mercurio shared a snap from filming.

The writer, 54, took to Twitter to share a collection of photos of DS Steve Arnott, Ted Hastings and DI Kate Fleming, as they playfully posed on set.

Yet eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that DS Steve Arnott had lost his ‘sergeant stripes’ from his uniform as they questioned whether he had been demoted or was going undercover.

Elsewhere other fans came up with another bizarre theory as they noted Ted Hastings was stood in front of a piece of graffiti which had the letter H.

Posting a zoomed in picture with a red ring around it, a Line Of Duty fan commented: ‘Massive spoilers on wall.’
