Apple has announced a new documentary series chronicling Lionel Messi’s blockbuster move to Inter Miami, with the project featuring ‘unprecedented access’ into the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

The streaming giant said that the project will have six parts and feature behind the scenes footage of his first, game-winning Miami goal, moments with him and his teammates and show his ‘immersion’ in America.

‘I couldn’t be happier coming to Miami and joining such an amazing group of people and organization,’ Messi is quoted as saying in a press release.

‘I’m joining with the desire to compete, win and help the club continue to grow. I also think we’re going to really enjoy ourselves, have a good time and that very special things are going to happen.’

Apple also announced in June that it would be doing a separate documentary project on Messi focusing on his international career – and World Cup win – with Argentina.

Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, seem to be loving life in the USA thus far

Messi has lit up America since making his debut for Miami last month vs. Cruz Azul.

Including his storybook free-kick winner in that match, he’s scored eight goals in just five games as his side has reached the semifinals of the Leagues Cup.

That game will take place on Tuesday night at the Philadelphia Union, with tickets selling for a staggering $609 on average according to TickPick.

But Messi’s arrival has been defined by the fanfare he’s fueled off the field as well.

He set the internet ablaze when he and his family visited Florida supermarket chain Publix to pick up groceries, with fans taking selfies with him and wondering if he’d bought one of the store’s famous ‘Pub subs.’

At Messi’s unveiling at DRV PNK Stadium – an event held before he’d even played for Miami – he was welcomed by a who’s who of athletes like Tom Brady, Stephen Curry, Alex Morgan and more in a pre-recorded video.

And the stars would come out in person for his debut too.

LeBron James and Serena Williams made the trip to South Florida, while Kim Kardashian even attended with her son Saint.

All that and more will hopefully be documented in Apple’s new Messi project.
