Careful on that speedboat, Lionel! Messi and childhood sweetheart Antonela Roccuzzo share Caribbean vacation snaps with the soccer star soon heading to Inter Miami
He is soon set to land in the United States and take soccer to new heights but for now, Lionel Messi is resting up on vacation in the Caribbean.
His wife, childhood sweetheart Antonela Roccuzzo, shared pictures of the soon-to-be Inter Miami man sunning himself on the beach – believed to be the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Messi, 36, was also pictured on a speedboat with Antonella – no doubt Miami co-owner David Beckham will be hoping he doesn’t get too adventurous during his time off.
Messi is soon set to head to Miami to start the next chapter of his incredible career in Major League Soccer.
He is set to sign a two-and-a-half year deal at Miami, with an option for another season, and earn in the region of $50-$60million a year as his salary.

MLS pulled out all the stops to get Messi to America – his deal, in part, is going to be financed by adidas paying him for shirt sales and Apple giving him a cut of the MLS subscriptions taken out for him joining.
Messi also said the move would be good for his family – they already own a house in Miami. He and Antonella have three sons together – Mateo, Thiago and Ciro.
The World Cup winner is going to be joined by two other stars who he knows well from his glittering career.
The iconic Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has already been announced by Miami, albeit informally on Instagram, as a new signing.
And defender Jordi Alba, who followed Busquets in leaving Barcelona this summer at the end of his contract, is set to sign with Miami as soon as Friday.
They are three eye-catching moves that will seriously enhance the profile of MLS both across America and overseas.
And for Miami, they cannot come soon enough. The team is last in the Eastern Conference of MLS and nine points outside the playoffs.
Messi is expected to make his Miami debut on July 21 against Cruz Azul, after an unveiling at the team’s stadium on July 16.
