Liverpool are top of the Premier League going into the international break, with six wins to their names from the first seven matches of the season.
It’s been an almost perfect start to life at Anfield for Arne Slot, who took over from former manager Jurgen Klopp in the summer under immense pressure to continue the project.
But, according to It’s All Kicking Off! co-host Ian Ladyman, the Reds aren’t quite worth their position as league leaders and could fall down the table as the season goes on.
It was a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend for Slot’s side, another narrow victory after getting the better of Wolves by the same scoreline the week before.
Ladyman explained what it is he feels Liverpool are lacking in games, and suggested that they are a work ‘in progress’ as they continue to adapt to life under Slot.

It’s a slightly more difficult run for the Reds after the international break, with games against Chelsea, Leverkusen and Arsenal all on the horizon.
Co-host Chris Sutton questioned the view, however, with Ladyman not certain of Liverpool claiming results against Chelsea and Arsenal.
