Little girl baffled by Game Boy

  • Adorable video shows a little girl trying to use a Game Boy
  • She appears to think it has a touch screen and doesn’t acknowledge its controls
  • She keeps tapping at the obsolete device’s screen to no avail

Technology is always evolving.

That seems to be the main takeaway from an adorable video showing a little girl trying to use a Game Boy Color, which is a portable gaming console created by Nintendo.

Presumably weened on tablets and smartphones, she appears confused that the Game Boy is operated by controls rather than by touch.

Her father, Chris Cohoon, wrote on Reddit: '[This is] my daughter attempting to play a Game Boy Color in the age of touchscreen interfaces'

A little girl appeared to be totally perplexed by a Game Boy Color. She tapped on its screen, assuming it would respond to her touch. The obsolete device actually has controls

She appears to not even notice the entire bottom half of the console, and instead repeatedly touches the screen, hoping for something to happen.

The original Game Boy debuted across the world in 1989, while the Game Boy Color came into being in 1998.

Game Boys were discontinued in 2010.

In 2004, Nintendo came out with a new device featuring a larger screen called the Nintendo DS.

Its sequel, the Nintendo 3DS, is still on the market.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday and has received more than 500,000 views.
