A Louisiana mother was so proud when she sent her daughter off to kindergarten in a sweet new dress and bow-bedecked updo — which is why she was so surprised when her daughter slid into the car later that day.
Gone was the pretty red bow sitting atop her head — and the perfectly coiffed ‘do was long gone, too.
In it’s place, Markeisha Simien’s five-year-old daughter Charle-feigh had what can only be described as a hair-don’t, which had fallen down along her neck and stuck up in fluffy points along her forehead.
Something’s different… Markeisha Simien from Louisiana shared these funny pictures of her daughter, before and after school
Too cute: Five-year-old Charle-feigh was all dressed up when she headed off to kindergarten
Thanks, mom! She and her brother looked picture-perfect and her hair was done up in a braid with a bow
Uh-oh… When she got in the car later, it was clear she’d ‘played’ with her hair
On August 21, Markeisha proudly posted images from one of Charle-feigh’s first days of kindergarten.
The adorable little girl was wearing a pleated khaki dress, a tie, ruffled socks, and sneakers.
Markeisha had clearly taken time to get Charle-feigh’s hair just right braiding it around her head and topping it off with a big red bow.
But it seems that while learning her ABCs and 123s, Charle-feigh started to fidget. Over the course of her day in class, she pulled out much of the braid, so it hung limply around the bottom of her head.
In front, she picked at her hair, pulling it out in long pieces that stuck up in an Alfalfa-esque ‘do.
Kids! Markeisha was annoyed but also thought it was pretty funny
Well done! The next day, the little girl proudly proclaimed after school that she didn’t not play with her hair
Waiting for it… Now her mom asks her every day if she plans to play with her hair during school
When she got into her mom’s car at the end of the day, Markeisha took another picture, showing what looks like a tired little girl who is ready to go home and relax.
‘Before and after school chronicles’ she wrote of the hilarious comparison.
Since she shared the images, they’ve gone viral — and Markeisha has learned a valuable lesson.
‘I was upset, true! But me and my baby laughed together at her hair redo,’ she wrote, adding that she now asks her daughter before school every day if she plans to play with her hair.
The next day, on August 22, Charle-feigh was clearly quite proud that she let her locks be.
‘When your baby get in the car with this smile and these words….. ”mommy, Mommy…i didn’t play with my hair and I didn’t pull my socks down! [sic],’ Markeisha wrote.
