Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson transforms into Baphomet for Halloween

Jesy Nelson celebrated Halloween in memorable style on Saturday, when she took to Instagram to share snaps of herself in full Baphomet costume.

The Little Mix songstress, 29, wowed as she got into character as the half-human half-goat deity, complete with glowing reddened skin and goat horns.

With her brunette locks perfectly coiffed into a sleek bone-straight style with bangs, the star captioned the images ‘Happy Halloween’, before tagging her glam squad.

With a dusting of glitter sprinkled across her face and body, the Touch hitmaker went for a bold makeup palette, with stark black lipstick and heavy eyeliner.

Framing her almond-shaped eyes with voluminous eyelash extensions, the star gave her costume an all the more haunting look with the addition of hazel contact lenses.

She kept her ensemble just as daring, wearing a black leather bra with a red trim, which she teamed with an unzipped bodysuit.

Taking to her Instagram Stories to give a more broad view of her costume, Jesy struck a series of coquettish poses as Nina Simon’s classic haunting track I Put A Spell On You played in the background.

Jesy’s efforts appeared to be widely appreciated, as her post attracted more than 120,000 likes just under a hour after going live.

Baphomet is the goat demon representation of Lucifer and has been used as a prominent figure in Satanism and the occult.

Away from Halloween shenanigans, Jesy and and her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, and Perrie Edwards, 27, have been busy with their new show Little Mix: The Search, which airs on Saturday nights.

Last weekend, Jade Thirlwall was noticeably absent from the performance as she was forced to self-isolate at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking to the stage after the performance, host Chris Ramsey said: ‘I am so happy to finally say welcome to Little Mix The Search. We are here to find the next big thing in music.’

When the ladies took their seats, Chris added: ‘Now obviously Jade is currently isolating at home but we have her here.’

Jade then appeared on screen from home and admitted she was saddened to not be in studio.

She said: ‘I am doing alright, I’m obviously gutted that I can’t be here tonight but I’m happy that I can do it from home.’

After the news that Jade would not be present for the first live show, a statement was released that read: ‘Jade has to self-isolate this week and will therefore be carrying out her role as Mentor on Little Mix The Search from home.

‘For this Saturday’s show, Jade will participate via video link, continuing to mentor alongside Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie.’

Despite mixing with the crew members in question, artists Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne all got the all-clear.

‘They’ve all tested negative and do not need to isolate,’ a source told The Sun. ‘They will be regularly tested throughout the run of the series.’

A spokesperson for the BBC added: ‘We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.’
