LIV Golf spell Jon Rahm’s name WRONG in embarrassing error announcing the arrival of the Masters winner on social media

LIV Golf botched their announcement of Jon Rahm joining the Saudi rebel circuit by spelling his name incorrectly in a word search posted on social media to confirm his move from the PGA Tour.

A post on Thursday night by LIV’s social media account showed a word search for fans to find the name of three new arrivals to the tour.

Across the fourth and fifth row down was the name ‘John Rahm’ – but the Spaniard spells his name ‘Jon’.

It’s an awkward start for Rahm, the Masters champion, whose move is undoubtedly a crippling blow for the PGA Tour.

The Spaniard had long distanced himself from joining LIV but if anything, his words in times gone by appear to have pumped up his pricetag.

He joins LIV in a deal that could rise to an astonishing total of $570million.

”I laugh when people rumor me with LIV Golf. I never liked the format. My heart is with the PGA Tour,’ Rahm said just three months ago.

But on Thursday, he said on X: ‘I am proud to join LIV Golf and be part of something new that is bringing growth to the sport.

‘I have no doubt that this is a great opportunity for me and my family and am very excited for the future.’
