Jurgen Klopp has boldly claimed that Fulham have one of the greatest players in Premier League history ahead of Liverpool’s clash with the Cottagers this weekend.
Fulham travel to Anfield on Sunday to face the Reds, who sit third in the Premier League, and know that a win could see them go top if results elsewhere go their way.
The Cottagers, on the other hand, have had a tougher start to the season but their 3-2 win over Wolves last time out has seen them climb to 14th as they look to push on with a huge upset over Liverpool.
Klopp is not underestimating Marco Silva’s side, as he has had high praise for his opponents going into the match on Sunday.
Speaking to the press ahead of the game, Klopp heaped praise on Silva and several of his players, labelling one as ‘one of the greatest the Premier League ever saw’.

He said: ‘Marco is a top manager, he’s doing a brilliant job in a strong league, I’m not saying they are overachieving but they are doing particularly well and it’s a really good football team.
‘It’s just a good football team, well set up and it makes it special, and their little stadium there, they can create a proper atmosphere and we’ve had our struggles there.’
Klopp then went on to hail former Chelsea star Willian as one of the best players in Premier League history.
‘With [Raul] Jimenez up front, [Carlos] Vinicius, and then one of the greatest, the little curly one [Willian], one of the greatest the Premier League ever saw, who is still going and going and going and [Andreas] Pereira.’
Klopp has previously held interest in signing the Premier League winger as it was reported that Liverpool held shock talks with Willian when he left Chelsea.
The Brazilian ended up spending a fairly unsuccessful season at Arsenal before moving back to his home country.
However, since returning to London with Fulham he has shown his quality and while Klopp’s comments may be a bit extreme, Willian has proven himself to be a great Premier League player.
