Liverpool defender Nat Phillips is a loan target for Middlesbrough and Stuttgart.

Another Liverpool defender Billy Koumetio, 20, has completed a season-long loan move to French side USL Dunkerque.

Phillips, 26, previously had a loan spell at Stuttgart in the 2019-20 season, during which he made 22 appearances.

He has also spent time on loan at Bournemouth.

Phillips has made 29 appearances for Liverpool but featured just twice in the Premier League last season.

He featured prominently as Jurgen Klopp’s side endured an injury crisis in the 2020-21 campaign, playing 17 times in the league.

Koumetio, who was previously capped by France at youth level, had a loan spell at Austria Vienna last season.
