Liverpool fans have become embroiled in a racism storm after unveiling a graphic banner which mocks Divock Origi’s manhood.
The banner, which has Origi’s head superimposed on to the well-known viral meme named as ‘WhatsApp Guy’, was displayed in the away section at the Luminus Arena before Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Genk.
The obscene and offensive image shows a mocked-up image of Belgian striker holding a large penis, while he stands next to a Liverpool badge and Champions League trophy.
The 24-year-old, who became a cult hero at Anfield after scoring in the Champions League final against Tottenham in May, was named on the bench against his former side for Wednesday night’s game in Belgium.
