Liverpool musical duo Her’s are killed in car crash while touring US
- Band had travelling to a gig in Santa Ana, California early Wednesday morning
- Involved in tragic accident which also killed tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson
- Duo’s label revealed the news on Facebook tonight, saying it was ‘heartbroken’
Both members of the Liverpool band Her’s have died in a tragic car crash while touring the US, their label has confirmed tonight.
The duo, comprised of Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading, were travelling to a gig in Santa Ana, California early on Wednesday morning when they were involved in a road accident.
Both died in the crash alongside their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson.
And in a heartbreaking penultimate Instagram post on Monday, said they were ‘almost home’ following their second tour of the US.

The band performed in Seattle last week (pictured), and said in a Facebook post: ‘Special thanks to everybody whose come out so far, you’ve all moved into a special little house in our heart’
The duo were both on a tour of the US and had been due to return home soon. In their penultimate post on Monday, they said: ‘It’s almost home time for the lads, US tour has gone swimmingly so far. Got a hot sunset date with the Grand Canyon tonight’
In a statement posted on Facebook, the band’s label Heist Or Hit wrote: ‘We are all heartbroken. Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label.
‘As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious. Each time they stopped by the office made for an uplifting experience.
‘To say they were close would be an underestimation of a friendship that was genuinely beautiful to witness; they loved one another like brothers.
‘Musically, Her’s were astonishing. An aptitude for melody, fun, and entertainment combined with a complexity that was as sophisticated as it was stylish.’

The news comes three years after all four members of British band Viola Beach died when their car crashed into a raised section of a bridge and plummeted into a canal.
The band, who were aged between 19 and 27 and from Warrington, had been on tour in Sweden in February 2016 when the tragic incident took place.
