It has been a hectic pre-season for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s side having already played seven friendlies, the most recent of which saw them beat Manchester United 4-1 in the United States on Saturday.

Klopp’s squad have wasted no time in heading back to England to continue their preparations for the new Premier League campaign as they arrived at Manchester Airport on Sunday morning.

Summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri, who marked his first appearance for the club with a stunning overhead kick against United, was amongst the players spotted at the airport, with Mohamed Salah also present.

Following that, the Reds will host Torino at Anfield on August 7 before the real action gets underway on August 12 when they host West Ham.

Liverpool started pre-season with an emphatic 7-0 win away to Chester before beating Tranmere Rovers 3-2.
