Longtime NFL defensive back Logan Ryan has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.
Ryan, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots, spent last season with the 49ers and shared his decision on social media.
‘Thank you to all my family, friends and teammates for the guidance and support!’ he captioned a video on X announcing his decision. ‘Thanks to the fans for watching!
‘Won 2 Super Bowls and got out happy and healthy to be the best father for my children! Thanks again for 11 seasons! Cheers to what’s next.’
He added in the video, ‘Man, what a great career, what a ride it was. Beautiful journey of highs and lows like they always are.’

Ryan then teased his next move, saying, ‘stay tuned, we got a lot in store.’
Ryan began his career in New England after being selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, before signing with the Titans ahead of the 2017 season and later suiting up for the Giants, Buccaneers and 49ers.
He was a part of the Patriots’ Super Bowl-winning teams during the 2014 and 2016 seasons, beating the Seahawks and the Falcons in the championship.
The former Rutgers product made over $59million in his pro career, per Spotrac.
