Logies 2023: Osher Günsberg stands on Married At First Sight bride Melinda Willis’ dress during very awkward red carpet moment

Osher Günsberg was so focused while telecasting from the TV Week Logie Awards red carpet that he didn’t notice he was standing on a Married At First Sight bride’s dress.

Melinda Willis , 32, and her beau Layton Mills, 35, had to wait behind Osher, 49, as he continued speaking to the media, leaving her pinned to the red carpet.

The loved-up couple recently made headlines as they took the big step of moving in with each other, but there wasn’t much ‘moving’ to be had on the red carpet on Sunday.

Layton captured the awkward moment and uploaded it to his Instagram Stories.

Melinda, in a stunning black and silver dress, looked at the camera and shook her head with a smile, while the caption in the story read ‘guess we’ll just wait a minute’ followed by several laughing emojis.

It comes after Channel Nine relented and extended invitations to certain MAFS cast members for this year’s Logie Awards, following a furore over apparent snubs.

Layton and Melinda were among some of the MAFS stars who accepted the invitation.

Despite MAFS being nominated for two awards, it seemed several of the major cast members were left out in the cold, not receiving an invite to the July 30 event.

However, Daily Mail Australia revealed last month that an invitation has since been extended and several fan favourites have now been invited to attend.

Brides Sandy Jawanda, Janelle Han, Claire Nomarhas, and groom Rupert Bugden joined previously invited co-stars on the red carpet.

Other MAFS alum who attended were Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James and Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton.

Meanwhile, Perth-based Bronte Schofield and Lyndall Grace both found themselves snubbed.

Cameron Woods, Harrison Boon, Jesse Burford, Alyssa Barmonde, and Josh White also failed to make the cut.

Sources at Channel Nine have also revealed some cast members were ‘begging’ publicists for a coveted invite ahead of the star-studded event that took place on Sunday.
