During last Wednesday’s public health and safety committee meeting at Rocky Point High School in Long Island, the topic of whether the school should bring in armed guards was brought up.

One student, Jade Pinkenburg, said he was against the idea of having armed officers roaming the halls.

A father shocked parents at a school safety meeting when he pulled a pocketknife on a teen to prove why the school should armed officers

Moments after the high school senior stood up to voice his opinion, a father at the meeting approached the teen.

‘I am considerably larger than you. If something happened, if I decide to attack you it would take the cops three to five minutes to come  here. Probably 10 if the traffic’s bad,’ the father said.

The man then pulled out a pocketknife and pointed it towards the teen. The father also held the weapon high up in the air to show the room that it was closed.

‘What are you gonna do now? What are you gonna do now?’ he asked the teen, as the kid backed away.

The father was trying to show how easy it was to bring a weapon into the school but many parents thought he crossed the line. One man in the audience screamed for the father to stop as other people yelled for the father to put the knife away.

Others demand he be escorted from the room.

As tension in the room grew, the unidentified father continued to try and prove his point, yelling: ‘I just walked into the building with this (knife). it’s not a gun, but I can do a lot of damage with it. What are you gonna do?’
