Loose Women was cut short in yet another ITV schedule shake-up on Tuesday morning, to make room for coverage of Goodwood Horseraces.

It meant the show aired for only 30 minutes at 12:30pm, instead of its regular slot for an hour until 1:30pm.

Fans were left divided over the mini episode, with some claiming it was ‘the biggest load of rubbish on television today’.

Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, Janet Street-Porter and Sunetra Sarker joined the panel to discuss hiding snacks and shared anecdotes with their fathers.

But some fans felt the topic of conversation on the morning show was ‘pointless’ and ‘stupid’.

The presenter and former Saturdays singer, 35, become visibly emotional as she heard a caller recount the heartbreaking death of her grandchild.

The caller shared her grandchild died just before Christmas last year of a sudden asthma attack.

As the caller spoke of her heartache to Deidre, Rochelle was in tears as she listened to the upsetting story.

The phoner said: ‘Just before Christmas we lost our only grandchild at 14-years-old, very suddenly of an asthma attack. It’s broken our family, we’re in bits.

‘We’re all very different [copying with emotions]. I’ve got four children it was my daughter that lost her daughter. I want to talk about her all the time but other people not so much.

‘She’s a teacher, she’s gone back to work. She’s remarkable strong but obviously she’s broken. We’re all in pieces.’

As the camera flicked to Rochelle crying, she said: ‘Sorry gosh.’
