Lord Sugar ‘cuts off’ former Apprentice winner Sian Gabbidon

Lord Sugar has reportedly ‘parted ways’ with former Apprentice winner Sian Gabbidon, just weeks after Harpreet Kaur was named his most recent partner.

Sian, 29, who founded a bespoke swimwear company, was hired as the business mogul’s partner in 2018, but he has since ceased to be a director in the venture.

According to The Sun, his position within the company was ‘terminated’ last month whilst his investment company, Amvest Limited, has also been removed.

You’re fired! Lord Sugar, 75, has ‘cut off’ former Apprentice winner Sian Gabbidon, 29, … just weeks after hiring a new partner

Previously Lord Sugar has parted ways with the 2015 winner Joseph Valente, Alana Spencer, who won in 2016, and James White who was crowned the winner in 2017.

The entrepreneur invested £250k into Sian Marie Fashion, but documents obtained from Companies House have revealed that he stepped down earlier this week.

Lord Sugar chose Sian despite describing her company as ‘a cottage industry’ given that she had sold only 400 ‘bespoke’ swimsuits during its two years trading.

MailOnline has contacted Sian and Lord Sugar’s reps for comment.

Before the finale aired, the swimwear designer spoke to MailOnline about her rivalry with runner-up Camilla Ainsworth whose ‘gourmet nut milk’ brand didn’t quite impress.

The multi-millionaire mogul rejected a product perfectly suited to the booming market in ‘non-dairy alternative milk drinks’ – a business already worth £300 million.

Sian told MailOnline how having a backbone, and the constant support of her boyfriend, means she can handle ‘brutal’ Lord Sugar.

Addressing the cattiness with the Nut Milk entrepreneur, Sian admitted she didn’t go on the BBC show to make friends, and asserted that it’s sometimes necessary to be ‘ruthless’ to win.

Last month, a new The Apprentice winner was crowned as Harpreet, 30, beat fellow finalist Kathryn Louise Burn, who runs an online pyjama business, to Lord Sugar’s investment with her dessert brand Oh So Yum.

She told MailOnline how her sister Gurvinder, 33, not only remains a director but still owns her stake in the company.

In an exclusive interview, Harpreet insisted that Apprentice boss Lord Sugar had ‘no problem’ with her business of five years being jointly run by a member of her family and BBC producers built up the tension as ‘a bit of fun TV editing.’

Harpreet said: ‘My sister is going to remain as a director in the business. They made a big deal of it on the show but it’s not that big of a deal.

‘Lord Sugar is getting two for the price of one and is looking forward to meeting my sister but if it stopped him from investing then she was going to step down.

‘During the interviews there was nothing they said about the business plan, they had no issue with it. I was so confident because I thought if the only problem is the company structure, not the business itself, then I’m onto a winner.

‘We didn’t have to argue or anything – it was a bit of fun TV editing but Lord Sugar doesn’t have a problem.’
