Louise Redknapp admits she’s focusing on motherhood and work

She recently confessed to losing a strong sense of her identity following her split from ex-husband Jamie Redknapp.

And Louise Redknapp has revealed she is far too busy to emerge on the dating scene, as she’s focusing on motherhood and work duties.

In an interview with The Mirror, the former Eternal singer, 43, described her sons Charley, 14, and Beau, nine, as the most important aspects of her and Jamie’s lives, insisting that the pair are committed to co-parenting.

Sharing the details of her dating status, she candidly said: ‘I’m happy, it’s all good. I’m working hard and enjoying the boys… my boys, my kids, that is! No one is trying to set me up with anyone, I’m too busy working.’

The 2 Faced hitmaker added: ‘Me and their dad are so there for them. They are our life – they are my world.’

While admitting that splitting from her husband of 19 years proved difficult, the songstress said that the pair have made an effort to ‘conduct themselves in the best way’, in a bid to protect their children.

Louise and Jamie’s split was announced in September, with their nearly two decade-long marriage officially ending in December.

The blonde beauty’s interview comes after she spoke candidly about losing her identity when she retreated from the limelight during her marriage to ex-husband Jamie.

Speaking to The Daily Express as the face of Specsavers’ Confidence Scale Campaign on Tuesday, the Lewisham native opened up about putting her successful career on hold to raise her sons.

The Naked hitmaker said due to her early days in a girlband, her image and style had always been important to her.

She expressed: ‘Like most people as you start to get older, other things take over.

‘You have a family to look after, you’re running a household, your career path changes.

‘When that happens, it’s easy to start losing that strong sense of identity that was once your biggest priority.’

 Louise returned to the spotlight in 2016’s Strictly Come Dancing and a touring version of musical Cabaret, and has thrown herself into her work since the marriage split.
